Tami Tolitano

With fourteen years of practice experience, Tami Tolitano represents clients on a regular and consistent basis before the Internal Revenue Service and the Illinois Department of Revenue.  Rather than handling an occasional tax matter, Tami constantly battles every day, day in and day out, week after week, year after year, for taxpayers on a variety of tax controversy issues from Employee audits to Sales Tax Audits to Income Tax Audits to Criminal Tax Referrals from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR).

On the Illinois State level with the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR), Tami handles Illinois Retailer Occupation Tax (ROT), (Sales Tax), Illinois Service Occupation Tax (SOT), Illinois Service Use Tax (SUT) and Illinois Use Tax (UT).  In addition Tami handles Rolling Stock exemptions; issues regarding Sales and Use Tax of vehicles and automobiles; Sales and Use Tax of Airplanes; Sales Tax audits of a variety of businesses.  A partial list includes sales tax audits of restaurants, fast food establishments, auto service businesses including car washes, service stations, gas stations, repair centers, liquor stores, and numerous other businesses.  Tami’s audit representation includes Illinois Department of Revenue Departmental Hearings and collection matters including Revocation of Operating Certificates.
